Overall Description
Here we have a ridiculously rare Stones Beggars Banquet in Stereo with the Blue UNBOXED Decca Labels!
There are many signs that contribute authenticity of a true 1st press-
Firstly, the stereo presses were on the unboxed Decca labels
The outer sleeve must contain the Garrod and Lofthouse PATENT PENDING quote, as G&L were still trying to attain the patent when the record was first issued and did so pretty much straight away, so all following presses didn’t mention the patent. This makes for an incredibly rare record, and one you rarely see!
The tax code J/T must be present on both the label AND in the dead wax
Mirage Music must be on the label above the BIEM logo
This record has all these factors and what more has the lowest 1&1 stampers available!!
It’s clear to see that pressing must be one of the closest to that stereo mother out there!!

Outer Sleeve
The gatefold super rare Patent Pending outer sleeve is in really really great condition, with no rips, tears or writing at all. The G&L pressed sleeve still has all the lovely colours as it once did, with no bubbling at all. The only sign of age would be some shelf wear to edges, but there are no splits at all. The spine is still nice and straight!! Lovely Stuff! Very Good +
Inner Sleeve
The original white inner sleeve is in great condition! There is no writing, stains, or tears. Excellent
Labels
The unboxed Decca labels with no stains, rips or rubbings. Under a strong halogen, some spindles can be seen. There is no writing at all and all text is perfectly readable Excellent
Vinyl Visual
The record still has its wonderful shine and lustre as it had when pressed! It’s a heavy record as you would expect from a 1968 first press. Under a halogen bulb, hairlines can be seen, but none that effect play or can be felt. So often these early stones records are beat up beyond recognition so it’s great to see such a rare record that’s not! Very Good
Vinyl Audio
Played the record through and it sounds really good! There were no skips, jumps or sticking at all. There was the occasional pop, but my cartridges are really sensitive, and a little static between tracks as is to be expected. The dynamics of the band are still loud and audible and most importantly separable. There was no sign of any warping at all! Excellent
Overall
So there we have it, a lovely original 1st UK press of the stereo classic Beggars Banquet.!!
This is such a mega rare first press that you never see, firstly unboxed and secondly with the very very first patent pending sleeve!
