This exquisite UK 1st stereo pressing dates from initial December 1968 release on the unboxed Decca Record label: SKL.4955
The 'JT' purchase tax code is present on both labels and in both run-out.

Housed in an outer laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo gatefold cover.

A clean & unworn set showing nothing more than a handful of light spindle trails around the side 2 label with less on label 1.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Both playing surfaces appear 'as new' with all of their factory-fresh, deep-gloss shine still present. Aside from two light paper scuffs on side 1, both sides are pristine with the sound quality to match.
Audio: NEAR MINT
Played carefully just a handful of times on high-end equipment, there is no trace of any groove/playwear, crackle, ticks, clicks or anything else to spoil the enjoyment of this early pressing which will not disappoint.
Cover: NEAR MINT
So hard to find this cover in anything approaching this condition. This example has been carefully stored in a non-smoking environment and has not yellowed as much as 99% of other surviving examples. both front and rear panels are pristine and retain an immaculate, unscratched high-gloss laminated free from any 'thumbnails' or creasing. There is a touch of wear to the upper left corner but all of the others are clean & sharp, as are all of the opening edges. Both panels inside the gatefold are unblemished. The spine is clean & unworn with no flaking laminate and all of the lettering is complete. All seams are smooth & unstressed making this one of the finest examples you could hope to find.
