THE ROLLING STONES - 'BEGGAR'S BANQUET'
This barely played UK 1st MONO pressing dates from the initial December 1968 release.
It is on the unboxed red & silver Decca label: LK 4955
Matrices: XARL-8476-4A & XARL-8477-3A

Vinyl weight: 153g
The disc is housed within a 'Garrod & Lofthouse International' printed mono gatefold cover, with its original poly-lined inner-sleeve.

A vivid & vibrant pair showing just a small handful of faint spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Pristine deep-gloss playing surfaces which are completely unmarked in strong daylight with just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines from inner-sleeve insertion visible directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp. Both sides of this superb copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
This superb sounding copy has clearly been barely played and my single playcheck at volume found no evidence of any groove/playwear distortion on any track or in either channel. In fact, apart from a touch of light background on the delicate introduction to 'No Expectations', there is precious little to fault on this superb sounding copy which will not disappoint.
Cover: VERY GOOD +
A clean & strong example which retains a clean, unscratched high-gloss laminate throughout. There is moderate but even toning to the outer panels & a few light storage marks, but nothing major.
The only major sign of wear is some damage to the upper part of the spine and the lettering is worn & incomplete. However, both seams of both pockets are smooth, unstressed & unsplit.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with some light storage bends but no seam splits, writing or tears.
