Description
Rolling Stones Beggars Banquet on vinyl. This is a 1968 UK stereo first pressing on the un-boxed Decca label, SKL 4955.
Original Garrod and Lofthouse laminated gatefold cover.
Blue un-boxed Decca labels, only used for the first pressing. All later pressings had the Decca logo in a rectangular box.
Original EMI advertising inner sleeve, well worn, split on 3 sides. The record is kept in a modern replacement inner sleeve.
Side 1 matrix: XZAL-8476-2K
Side 2 matrix: XZAL-8477-2K
The cover is well worn but still intact. Graded as VG.
Side 1 Visual: Nice glossy shine with quite a few minor hairlines. Graded as VG+.
Side 2 Visual: Nice glossy shine with quite a few minor hairlines. Graded as VG+.
Side 1 Label: A few spindle marks. Very faint hand written name, barely noticeable, only in certain light, (blue ink on a blue label, just visible in photo 7). Graded as VG.
Side 2 Label: A few spindle marks. No handwriting. Graded as EX.
Play tested on a Linn Sondek LP12. Been played a few times but still a nice, punchy sound with some minor background noise noticeable in quiet passages. No skips or jumps. Overall, an enjoyable listen. Graded as EX-.
I am not a dealer; I am selling this from my own personal collection. I have ended up with two copies of this iconic album and one of them has to go.
