THE ROLLING STONES - 'BETWEEN THE BUTTONS'
This EXCELLENT UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial January 1967 release is on the deep-groove, unboxed red Decca label: LK 4852
The 'KT' purchase tax code is printed on each label and is stamped into the side 1 run-out.
Matrix numbers: XARL-7644-4A & XARL-7645-4A
Stamper codes: 1/I & 1/B
Vinyl weight: 148g
Housed within a front laminated, 'James Upton Ltd.' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original poly-lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT
Both are clean & bright with some clumsy spindle trails around each centre hole, but no stickers, writing or missing paper.
Visual: EXCELLENT+
Pristine deep-gloss playing surfaces which apart from a single 5mm surface mark on side 1 are totally unmarked in strong daylight. Even close examination beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals only a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines but little else to suggest this LP is 45 years old.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
This wonderful sounding copy has received just minimal careful play on top-quality equipment and the sound is clean, warm & clear throughout and completely free from any groove/playwear distortion. The only audible distraction I detected during my single careful play-check were a handful of light ticks on 'Backstreet Girl'. Apart form that, this is flawless sounding copy which would be difficult to upgrade.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A highly respectable example of this easily worn cover which retains a vibrant and unfaded front panel with a clean, high-gloss laminate. All corners are sharp and unworn and free from any bumps or bruising. Both opening edges are clean & sharp with no tears or feathering to either. The only factor holding it back from and EX+ grade are a handful of pin-head sized indentations on Charlie's face from storage and a few tiny spine wrinkles. The exposed rear panel is clean & bright with the only blemishes being a few aged fingermarks.
Both seams are smooth & unstressed and the spine is fully worded and unworn.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT +
Clean & flat with a few faint handling wrinkles but no writing, seam splits or tears.
