Description
Very presentable first pressing stereo copy of the Stones’ classic hits collection from 1966 on Decca TXS 101, complete with its stapled-in picture booklet. This is a very early copy with the ‘KT’ tax code etched on the dead wax as well as appearing on the labels. Matrices are XZAL-7503-4W/XZAL-7504-3W.
Sleeve VG+ Outside laminated. Some light wear and creasing, nothing worth mentioning apart from a 7cm seam split at the top of the rear cover
Labels Ex Very clean. Light to moderate spindle traces.
Inner VG Original Decca company polylined bag. Rather age-yellowed but intact and still does the job!
Record Visually VG+, nice shine to the vinyl. Some light hairlines here and there, nothing serious or offensive. The audio grades as VG+ at least, nice clear sound with minimal crackle. There are some light ticks near the end of Side 2 Track 1 caused by a slightly feelable hairline. Otherwise a great listen!
