Rolling Stones MFSL Box #2952/5000 - Mint/Unplayed
VERY IMPORTANT! READ THIS BEFORE YOU BID! I want to start off saying 3 things, the first, and most important, is that the Geo-Disc that will come with this box isn't the original. I had this box on display, not for sale, in my record store. Someone came in looking for a Geo-Disc, and being broke at the time, I sold the one from this box. Never replaced it, and when MFSL went out of business figured I was out of luck. Then I bought one on eBay, the pictures are posted. The cover isn't in the greatest shape, the disc is near perfect, I really can't see anything wrong with it. I did try to order one from the current MOFI (I won't call them MFSL, they don't rate), it came with NO COVER, so I'm selling this with the used Geo-Disc, and will probably take a whipping on the ending bid, and speaking of which, it didn't come from MFSL with the envelope that had a certificate in it. I sold 5 of these in my store, and not one of them had one. I know sometimes MFSL would put inserts in part of a run, and omit them from another. One of the few things they did that I had a problem with. The 3rd thing is that SHIPPING WILL BE MY ACTUAL COST, AND BE DETERMINED AFTER THE AUCTION. This box was on display behind the counter in my store, then carefully archived since 1991. Absolute stone mint. Records removed one time to inspect, then replaced unplayed. They have not been touched since. There are a few spots of wear to the covers, mainly the bottom corners, done during shipping. They were this way when I got the box. The exterior of the box has a couple light scuffs and dings, still in excellent shape, well cared for while in my possession, other than the lapse of judgement with the Geo-Disc. PayPal preferred, I will accept personal checks, if your feedback is 100+ I'll ship same/next day as usual, otherwise they're held until the check clears, up to 2 weeks. Cash is ok, and tips are appreciated, but make sure it's well hidden, and I'd suggest that you send it with proof of delivery so that everyone's sure it arrived. All payments are to be in US funds, no exceptions.
I combine auctions, add $2/single lp, $3/2 lp set. Please pay for all auction totals on one invoice, so no payment is expected until the end of combined auctions, which must end within a 10 day period. Please notify me if you intend to combine. Your satisfaction is of utmost importance; contact me first concerning any problems. They WILL be fixed, so again, contact me first. If the problem is due to a misrepresentation on my part you will be issued a full refund or credit, your choice, and I will cover all shipping costs, including outbound s/h. Returns to be shipped back the same way they were sent (no overnight or 2nd day!). Any fondling done on your part will be considered gratis and voluntary.
International shipping rates as noted, and please remember that it can take some time for delivery. I prefer Priority Mail within the US, $6 s/f (please see note #1 below in payment instructions). THESE RATES DO NOT APPLY TO THIS ITEM. Even though I pack for safe shipment, I feel there's a greater risk for damage if another USPS service is used that delays delivery. NOTE - I'm going to have to offer 2 packing options for shipping outside the United States. Single boxing for the quoted rate, and $5 additional for double boxing. I will ask at the end of the auction if this needs to be addressed.
Over the next few months I'll be listing many more comics, almost entirely Silver Age. I'm also selling off the remainder of my record collection. I'm starting out with the newest books first, and although some are early Bronze Age I'm listing everything under Silver Age. The majority are Marvel: Spidey, DD, Strange Tales, etc. Most are in the 7.0/8.0 range. I'll also be offering a group of CGC-graded comics I sent out on 3/5, might be back while I'm still young.
