Decca (France) 1972 5-LP set, 33 RPM LPs. Decca RS 30.001-30.005 BOX and LPs are in NEAR MINT+ CONDITION. ALBUM LINERS ARE NEAR MINT. 

Extremely well taken care of. Played once or twice (some sides never played) using a well-calibrated Micro-Benz Ruby III Reference cartridge and stored upright in a protective cover in a smoke-free air conditioned home.

Excellent sound quality, comparable to some of the best UK Decca pressings.  Since the same original master tapes were used here by Decca almost 10 years before Mobile Fidelity used them to create the MFSL Stones box, it's interesting to compare the two.  The MFSL sounds grittier, while the French Decca Box has a sweeter, more pop sound.  You'd think it might be the opposite, but then again, there is all this glitter here... and the French like to march to the beat of their own drums especially where the British are concerned.. and Mick worked closely with MFSL to keep things gritty.. so I guess it all makes sense. Anyway, whoever gets this should have a great time with it!

The set comes with 5 album liners, each with the picture and some information about each band member.  Inside these liners is a polybag similar to those used on Japanese LPs.  I have replaced these with Mobile Fidelity Original Master Sleeves, and will include the original sleeves and the MFSL sleeves with this set.
