Labels
Excellent+ No damage at all ! Beautifully maintained, with no rips. No tears. No graffiti. No crusting. No mottling. An extremely light spindle trace ONLY observed on all four sides ! Absolutely amazing ! Lightly played ! So rare in this incredible condition.
(((Audio))) Phenomenal delivery !
One of the best I have heard from this Stones monster classic. Tones are very sharp and concise. The loud cut delivery projects magnificently, to convey a wonderful array of tones and the bass frequency is so vibrant, it is unbelievable! Instrumentation is a delight, with the percussion beat delivered with exquisite, mellow tones, especially on Shine A Light ! With only a handful of plays, an exceptional audio, with very little to fault. Clear channels for most of play, and will find very difficult to match . The tiniest of marks Tr3,S4 produce the faintest of ticks, but between tracks .These virginal grooves have been undisturbed for years and plays as if fresh off the press! Remarkable and extremely scarce in this lightly played condition . At least an excellent aural delivery !
Vinyls
Mirror like appearance and a pleasure to view! Thick cut, heavyweight feel ! Excellent/ + visual on first initial inspection. If angled 45 degrees, there are several extremely faint surface marks visible , on a couple of the sides, where outer sleeves have brushed the surface .There are a handful of marks ,located Tr3/4 S4 but are only visible if angled against a strong halogen. STUNNING visual ! Quite difficult to observe, as they tend to disappear beneath the high gloss of the vinyls .One of the best examples of this historic Stones’ classic!
What a sensational album release !
Plain, white inner sleeves,(normally found missing) which are the genuine originals with Made in England in blue text , are placed within the thicker outer coloured picture sleeves.. They have been neatly inserted into each picture sleeve and they appear to be in really good condition. Needless to say, I have not removed them and have placed the vinyls in other plain sleeves, to prevent any possible damage.
Complete set of 12 post cards – 10 of which are found in concertina format .They feel and look as fresh as the day they were printed and are in excellent condition. They have a smooth finish and are the genuine 1st issue postcard set ,only found with these very earliest 1st pressings of this monumental Stones classic!
Gatefold sleeve
NOT flattened at all and retains its original box shape and is quite remarkable and has hardly any visible wear at all, except along two vertical edges. At least very good++ condition and impossible to locate like this !
1st issue, gatefold sleeve, where records are pulled out from inner compartment. The flap of the inner compartment has the edges lifting where the glue has dried out. Easily remedied by reglueing these edges down. Shorewood Packaging manufacture with that extra thick card .Later issues were not so robust and were thinner, as flimsier card was used .The feel and appearance of this album sleeve is fresh and ultra clean. Nothing major to fault , with just some very minor rubbing on the top and lower spinal extremities/extreme corner tips.
Stored away from any sunlight, making the faces on exterior appear almost white, with very minor yellowing observed along the spinal column , through the course of time. Very difficult to locate a 1st issue sleeve in this remarkable format and makes this a highly collectable gatefold sleeve .
Inner picture sleeves- Excellent condition . No seam splits. No rips. No tears at all. Fresh feel. Prime exhibits . !
Vinyl matrices A1/B1/C1/D2
1st UK pressing with the double matrix with Rolling Stones Records etched in to every run off. All four sides have this genuine endorsement , and has the 1st pressed hallmark – the inverted V (which is always found 1st pressings) and the artists palette! All factory stamps complete and clearly visible, to make this an exceptional example of this ultimate Stones’ classic .
Becoming harder to locate in this complete format, and in remarkable condition. Certainly one, for the keen vinyl enthusiast. With a sensational aural delivery and highly polished vinyls , an absolute gem of an example. Exile On Main Street is now considered widely among the Band’s finest work and is noted to be one of the defining masterpieces of the rock era !
