Description

An original 1st press from 1972 on Uk RS label. Artisan stamped solid vinyl. Matrix 2/1/2/1 - nice and early. The vinyl is pressed super solid - as the early copies should be! Artisan symbols on each side - sign of masters at work! The vinyl comes housed in an original Shorewood box cover. Both square cornered inners are present. Killer audio...
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make a few very slight marks per side, and one superficial trail - nothing heavy of troublesome though. Fully tested at mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of minor deviations per side. Clean intros and inbetweens great clarity. You're not far from those original masters in reality - some great audio. Excellent energy, but some finesse in those quieter moments. And boy these Artisan cuts do sound fantastic on a well cared for copy. Clean slow builds....excellent clarity into the mix. Shine A Light can exhibit groove-wear....not here. Real clean. Sweet Blck Angel - unbelievably good. A few brief crackles in one spot per side [e.g.opening to Sweet Virginnia]. Perhaps one isolated tick per side. But quite frankly...a bit of a banger! If you can't be suitably impressed by this copy...hell, there's something wrong with ya! Labels have been initialled.
Cover (Vg) Satisfactory and no better. If you're a bit fussy on your covers it might not suit. You need to be able to compromise here to get an al original and superb vinyl. Some ageing apparent - but difficult to avoid entirely on this title. A fair bit of edge wear in places. On the spine more obvious wear - but not worn through. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Overall - perfectly acceptable and ALL original.
Inners (Ex) Very tidy no splits.
