Description
I believe this is an early(ish) UK pressing of Exile. I've had it in my collection since new in about 1976 0r sso.
Matrix / Runout (Run-out Side A): COC 69100 A2
Matrix / Runout (Run-out Side B): COC 69100 B2
Sides A and B also have the Rolling Stones Records and the Artisan pressing plant logo etched on the runout.
Matrix / Runout (Run-out Side C): COC 90100 C2
Matrix / Runout (Run-out Side D): COC 69100 D3
Each vinyl weighs 140g.
Cover (heavy gatefold with central entry) is in fair condition though shows a bit of shelf wear and the glue has failed at both top and bottom of gatefold.
Printed inner photo sleeves (square corners) both present.and in reasonable shape, though side 1 and 2 sleeve has been penetrated by record at top and bottom. On side 3 and 4 inner sleeve, the glue has given way at top and bottom.
The poster by Victor Kahn is present and in very good condition. It is still in its original folds and has never been on a wall so has no holes or sticky marks on it.
Discogs mentions a set of 12 postcards – I don’t remember if they came with it or not but they are not there now! However, there is a poster as mentioned above, which I can find no mention of anywhere - I am not sure whether this was a substitute for the postcards or has got mixed up from another LP.
Records are very good with no jumps or skips and tough there is the odd tick here and there, nothing intrusive and very little if any surface noise and a great raunchy hi fi sound.
