Description
Rolling Stones - “Goats Head Soup” SEALED VINTAGE LP 1977.
Rolling Stones Records COC 39106, stereo?, Monarch repressing, gatefold, 1977 (see Comments below)
Style: Blues rock
Matrix #- unavailable
Barcode- none
Record: Sealed, presumed M
Jacket: Sealed (mint, gatefold, partial store sticker and hype sticker on front, hype sticker on rear)
Comments: This album is one of 24 sealed Rolling Stones albums recently acquired in a collection purchase. Being sealed, matrix numbers cannot be used to identify exact pressing. The front hype sticker contains COC 59101, but spine contains an applied pink sticker (under shrink wrap) with COC 39106, which is a numerical and visual match on Discogs to a Monarch gatefold repressing of 1977. That pressing contained a printed inner sleeve and poster. I cannot guarantee this to be the case here, nor can I state with certainty that this album is that pressing. No barcode is present, so this is definitely NOT a modern repress. A rare find indeed.
RETURNS will be accepted ONLY if album is returned in 100% original condition. As always, please contact us if you have issues with this purchase.
PLEASE READ (at least once):
We are a father/daughter duo. Daughter is the eBay person, dad is the record guy. Our goal- thin the collection to a much more manageable size while funding daughter’s “car fund”. A lifetime of collecting has resulted in too many records and many duplicates. We hope to get good records into good homes. As with most collectors, albums have been acquired in a multitude of ways, so in most cases we are not the original owners.
All albums are cleaned on a Nitty Gritty record cleaner and play tested on a JVC QL-A2 or a Technics SL 3200 turntable using a Marantz SR4023 receiver and Bose speakers. Photos are actual albums, taken with an iPhone (no enhancement).
Record collectors encompass many levels- from entry level (and often limited budgets) to audiophile (often enormous budgets) for equipment and recordings. Grading albums, even with Goldmine standards, is often a subjective process. We strive to be as accurate as possible. Any buyer who is dissatisfied with a purchase need only contact us and we will resolve the situation.
Shipping: All records are shipped in new or very gently used (we do try to save resources, when possible) album mailers with corrugated cardboard inserts on both sides and between multiple albums. All albums and inner sleeves are removed from the jacket and inserted into plastic sleeves. All media rate shipping WILL be insured at buyers expense. If you don’t agree, please DON’T bid. If packages arrive damaged, we will provide the buyer with information necessary to file a claim, but all claims are the responsibility of the buyer.
Thank you for your time and, we hope, your business. If there’s a particular album you’re looking for let us know- we may have a copy to sell! Questions are always welcome. Happy collecting!
