The Rolling Stones most underrated album Goat's Head Soup on Rolling Stone Records.
Rolling Stones hand etched in the dead wax.
Released in 1973,this is an authentic UK first pressing COC 59101 A/2 B/1
Everybody knows this album for Angie and DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO (Heartbreaker)….But there's some much more of this record….Keith's "Coming Down Again" is probably the best song that he wrote in the 70's and the hypnotic "Can You Hear The Music"is almost like an ode to Brian Jones, with its use of the Eastern flutes and raucous blues drenched "Hide Your Love" with Mick Taylor's tasty licks (as usual).
But the icing on the cake is "Winter"…It's here where Mick Taylor shines! This song rarely got played on the radio back then and unfortunately still now….Though those who are familiar with it,rank it as one of the Stones best songs and deservingly so.
Brilliant record!
