Description

The second single from the Rolling Stones, I Wanna Be Your Man and backed with Stoned was released in November 1963. Denmark was the FIRST country outside the British Isles that released the Stones' records. The local Danish Decca company didn't press any of the discs but imported them mostly from the UK and housed them in UNIQUE picture sleeves right from the start. As in other countries (e.g. Holland and Italy) during the mid-1960s, the sleeves were printed in more than one color variation. Naturally a few of these are of legendary rarity, such as the blue box version of their Come On debut single and this version of I Wanna Be Your Man. As described above, the vinyl is imported from DECCA UK and placed in this unique Danish picture sleeve.

Notice: While the UK first edition of the single had the B-side misspelled "Stones" the two Danish picture sleeve versions have not surfaced with this typo. Presumably the error was corrected before the export begun.

Sleeve condition: Please see photo of front and back. The fragile paper is slightly creased at top, a minor blemish (possible sticker residue from price sticker) below the Decca logo on front side of sleeve, an app. 5 cm seam split on right side not affecting print, otherwise no damage elsewhere and very nice intense red color.

Vinyl condition: Plays great on both sides, no scratches heard, although slight background noise and light surface marks. Complete center. If needed, the vinyl can be replaced with a UK original, as it is identical including matrix and label number.
