Description

The Rolling Stones Let It Bleed UK 1969 Decca Red Mono LP LK 5025 Sleev and Inner only. Read on please...
Ok just to make it clear, the vinyl has a major issue with Gimme Shelter, the opening track's audio quality; its been ruined somehow, and is almost just white noise, I have never heard anything like it and I have worked in record shops for most of my life. The vinyl itself visually looks to be in great condition, say and EX except that track which shows bad tracking marks, but still has a nice sheen, and the rest of the lp plays with just minor surface noise as would most 50 year old records. It's baffling how one track could be so destroyed as the centre hole worming is not excessive on the other side. I guess someone liked Gimme Shelter a little too much... If you are looking for a player, this is not it.
So what I am selling is the peepholed 1st press sleeve and inner.
The sleeve is and EX. It's all straight and sharp with no laminate loss, there is some light creasing, but no major issues, it looks great and would serve as an good replacement cover for any upgrade.
The important track listed printed red mono inner is in the same comparable condition, with creasing and folds, but no rips or tears or splits, It has the catalog number applied in pencil on one side, probably from where it was filed in shop at some point, but this will come off with a good eraser. I will leave it as is. Again it it would be a good upgrader. I will grade it as VG+.
Please study the photos taken in bright sunlight to see the condition of both sleeve and inner. This is what you'll get.
Please note that the vinyl is almost ungradeable because of the issue with Gimme Shelter, so this auction is basically for the sleeve and inner only. The vinyl is included of course. So please, if you do buy, no complaints with reference to the vinyl, as it is what it is and you'll know that these mono pressings sell for £100 upwards in EX/VG condition. So again, if you are looking for a player, this is not it.
Will be sent in good mailer with stiffeners, by signed for RM
