Description
A 70s LP of the Rolling Stones live at the Olympia Stadium, Detroit, Michigan on 24th November 1969.
This particular show was regarded by MJ as the moment when the band got into gear, hence this album being commonly known as “We never really got it on till Detroit”, though it was also misleadingly titled “Live at the Roundhouse 1971”. This one replicates the track listing of this latter issue; if it is from the former, then it’s just the first LP of an original double set. (White labels, matrix numbers: S2/S-7). More details may be gleaned from the dbboots site, which rates this as a "very good audience recording", but to be clear, this is only a single disc.
There is some general usage marking to the vinyl, resulting in surface noise, though this does not detract from the listening experience. Unfortunately, the cover has been lost in the mists of time, though if you can be bothered the artwork can probably be sourced from the aforementioned site. Vacuum cleaned, in a poly-lined inner.
