Description
Own a piece of British blues and rock history with this first edition, first pressing 12” vinyl record LP of The Rolling Stones’ iconic album “No. 2,” released in 1965 on the Decca label in the UK. This classic LP features a full-range fidelity level in mono, housed in a black vinyl record within a cardboard sleeve. It includes the rare “Blind Man Text” and comes in an original James Upton sleeve with a flipback cover, making it a must-have for any music collector or dedicated fan of The Rolling Stones.
This particular pressing is notable for its red/silver grooved labels with large unboxed Decca logos, and it includes a variation with an ear logo at 2 o’clock. The upper label rim proudly states “MADE IN ENGLAND. THE DECCA RECORD CO. LTD.,” with boxed BIEM/NCB at the right below the catalogue number, and all writer’s credits at the left centre. The KT tax code is present on the labels and in the run-off on both sides at 12 o’clock.

All records have been well cared for, listened to, and fully play-tested to ensure they meet a high standard before sale. While I’d rather keep them, times are tough, so there are some great bargains available.
Postage & Packaging
All records are sent via recorded/tracked delivery in strong, purpose-made LP mailers with additional protective cardboard where needed. Once dispatched, responsibility lies with the courier, but I have excellent feedback for safe delivery. Recorded delivery is used for both buyer and seller protection.
Pricing
Starting prices are based on thorough market research, including recent sales and current going rates.
Grading
All records are play-tested and graded carefully with a meticulous, high-standard approach.
I aim to avoid gaps in grading and will always assign the most accurate condition:
* MINT (M) – Only used for sealed records or those I personally purchased new and have never played.
* NEAR MINT (NM) – Near flawless, with only the faintest, barely visible marks if any.
* EXCELLENT (EX) – Very clean with a strong shine; may show light scuffs or minor signs of use.
* VERY GOOD (VG) – Still a respectable copy with noticeable light marks, scuffs, or occasional light scratches, but plays well.
* GOOD (G) – More obvious wear and marks, but still playable without major issues.
* FAIR (F) – Heavily worn/overplayed; suitable mainly for display or collection filler rather than regular listening.
Most items listed will fall between NM and VG. Lower grades are rarely listed unless part of inherited collections.
