No.2 LP
The second LP by the Rolling Stones from January 1965
* The earliest and original first pressing of this LP, with first matrix numbers on both sides.
* First mother, side 1
* The rare MONO version.
* The earliest Unboxed DECCA label.
* With first issue cover (the famous blind man text on the rear which was banned and replaced)

* The earliest DECCA label ie the "unboxed DECCA", soon replaced with the word DECCA inside a silver box.
* MONO ie label LK4461
* First matrix numbers on both sides stamped in the vinyl XARL-6619-1A and XARL-6620-1A
* Mother/stampers are 1HH and (it looks like) 2D G1
* Each side listened to and graded, all the way through, EX to VG+
Outer Sleeve
* Original First issue cover by James Clout
* MONO on rear
* Rear cover has the famous "blind man's text" which some people found offensive, and was soon replaced
* Very small sticky label at top right shows that the 1965 purchase price was 32/2 ie 32 shillings and two pence
* The cover is in VG+ condition, it is fully intact with no damage and no writing. This thin and rather fragile cover has a number of laminate creases around the edges. The rear is slightly dirty, as shown in thephoto, because this side is not protected with laminate.

Visual and Play of the LP
All you Beatles fans used to listening to 1960's Beatles LPs, should try a 1960's unboxed DECCA from the same date. I promise you, you will hear a difference !
Side 2 is in wonderful condition, nice shiny vinyl as shown in the photo, visually graded EX+ , just 2 very faint hairline marks, and small scuff in track 1 at 11o'clock. On play EX, there were no hops, no jumps, no sticks and no loud noises or ticks. I just detected three quiet clicks in the small scuff on track 1.
Side 1 visually VG+ has no scratches but some light surface scuffing mainly in one place. On play these did not affect the sound track and the side played EX+ I noticed just two quiet clicks between tracks. no hops, no jumps, no sticks.
Really impressive 1960s DECCA sound !
