Description

 An original 1st mono press on Uk Decca. Matrix 1/2. Note the deepgroove on the labels. Queston is is this a Blindman cover? Answer, yes and no! When the Blindman covers were 1st released there was a bit of a furore in the uk and they were forced to cover up the text deemed offensive. And this is precisely what you see here. Underneath that pasted rear is the original Blindman text. On top is a paste-over censored version deemed more palatable. So so difficult to find in this sort of condition.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Lovely condition and has only seen lightest use - really hard to find on stones genuine '65. Take a close look at those spindle holes. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest markings per side - remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with a couple of slightest deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Plays clean and for genuine '65 impressively so. Even the lowkey moody moments are resolved perfectly accurately and without background. All I could detect was one isolated tick early on side 2, and one midway through - that was it!!!. Overall clean mono delivery that will better 90%+ of original copies. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex-) A real pain to find in decent condition - this is about as well preserved as I've ever seen. Look online ...most copies are usually wrecked. But this example is unusually clean with just slight whiff of ageing on right side [extremely unusual]. The front is superb with just some laminate lift along the spine edge and slight sticker removal mark extreme top left. Look at the colour retention! Minimal edge wear. Spine is 90% intact. A couple of tiny brown spots. The cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Some ageing. A couple of slight splits repaired internally
