Description
Stunning copy of the Rolling Stones No.2 vinyl LP album, Cat No. LK 4661. MONO, laminated 'non-flip back' cover. Boxed Decca logo. Non-'blind man' text on the rear of the sleeve. Made in England text, and 1965, 1964 dates on bottom of label.
This is an exceptional example - visually, the vinyl is as close to mint as you'll find in a record of this age, with only one or two barely discernible marks and some very light spindle traces. No sign of warping.
Label design details (eg boxed 'DECCA' logo, MONO printed in the centre, speed in small font printed once etc) suggest this is a 1970-72 pressing.
Run-out groove matrix codes are: Side 1: XARL-6619-2A. Side 2: XARL-6620-2A
Stamper codes look like: Side 1: 1 AA Side 2: 3D AU (though this could be 3B AU - the B/D sits below the 3).
Laminated sleeve is excellent (it's been stored in a clear plastic sleeve, which will be included in the auction) - there's one VERY light crease at he bottom on the front near the Decca logo (but that's being picky). Virtually no feathering to the opening side. Back is very clean too. Inner sleeve is also in excellent condition.
Sound-wise, there's a little static/minor clicks here and there as you'd expect, but overall is excellent.
This is a fabulous opportunity to own this rare and well looked after original vinyl, which has been in my family since new.
