Description
We are making changes and freshening up our listings as our discs dwindle down to a precious few, but the great old vinyl you have loved and purchased here will remain the same high quality for the coming months. Truth is nothing lasts forever and sealed, mint or never played vinyl product from the sixties, seventies and eighties is disappearing fast and when it’s gone, it’s gone. Rising packaging cost and ever changing new regulations from eBay really make this whole process a labor of love and often a non profit one at that. All of that is now complicated by a new breed of unscrupulous buyer, few yes, but never the less an annoying cost of doing business here. So considering the above we are now requiring clients who win our vinyl auctions to add insurance to tracking on the USPS shipping requirements. We are going to cover those costs, but the buyer will have to pay three dollars in addition to actual USPS First Class or Priority charges to cover the cost of our mailer and pads. If the buyer chooses to protect their purchase further they can request alternate shipping or additional protection. I did work many years in music promotion and most of the items I offer are from my own collection, an associate or several gentleman who worked in top 40 and AOR radio back in the day. From 1978 we have for a no reserve auction what appears to a lightly or never played promotional copy of The Rolling Stones, Rolling Stones Records release “Before They Make Me Run” catalogue # PR 316. As a true “For Radio Only” single both sides of the disc have the same title, one mono, the other stereo. Vinyl has a high gloss surface, perfect, unaltered or marked “Promotional Copy Not For Sale” and retains its original picture sleeve that has survived the passage of time in excellent condition, strong corners, no cut through, wrinkles or ring wear because it has spent many years in a protective vinyl sleeve. I understand among collectors of Stones vinyl there is a concern about bootleg copies of this disc, I don’t have that concern about this disc as we never serviced bootlegs to radio stations but I would be interested in your comments. I will add that the matrix numbers her are stereo side ST PR - 316 - SP and followed by five small markings that I cannot identify, mono side PR - 316 -1 SP ct4p. If you have questions about this item please make use of the “Ask The Seller A Question” option. We welcome your comments and suggestions on how we might improve the content of our listings. If you win the auction, please do not pay till you receive an invoice directly from me. We accept PayPal and your personal check or USPS M.O. is always accepted. We are always willing to hold and combine items won to save on shipping costs. Items we list for auction are not available to anyone who has chosen the Private Feedback Profile.
