Description

An original 1st mono press on UK Decca from autumn 1965. Matrix 9A/8B - one of the earliest cuts for the UK market. I believe there is a 7/7...but it rarely surfaces. Please note the labels exhibit the Decca deep groove you find on the 1st pressings. Also the font employed is Arial - this is the 1st design before they did a re-working of the labels layout. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover. There's also an original Decca inner too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In very nice condition and has seen light to moderate use. Expect a few light marks per side, one light trail - but nothing heavy or sinister looking. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of payback with a couple of minor deviations per side. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. A pretty clean player by and large. Very appealing. All I could detect was a couple of minor ticks in a couple of isolated spots per side. Absolutely nothing upfront or distracting. A good clean solid rendition. Little to find fault with.
Cover (Vg) Has avoided the dreaded laminate lift, but there is a crease top left and a fair bit of thumbnail creasing at the opening. The rear has avoided the worst of the wear and ageing - but light ageing in evidence at extremities. Light edge wear, but nothing noticeable. Text on the spine fully intact, but expect a few stress creases. Overall the cover retains verygood rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
