ROLLING STONES - Paint It Black / Long Long While (Switzerland - Club Edition Ex Libris Decca DL 25240)(PS) 1966, U.K., swol strong VG+/VG+
MEGARARE, ORIGINAL SWISS CLUB EDITION SINGLE FROM 1966 with STAGE-COVER!! THIS IS THE ONLY SWISS CLUB EDITION EX LIBRIS COPY OF THIS TITLE I´VE EVER FOUND!!
Old tape stains around the otherwise very nicely intact picturesleeve (with NO tears and NO split seams!!) I think it was taped to protect the sleeve when it was still new. The tape fell off by itself a long time ago. Complete with small original Ex Libris pricesticker on the backcover!! The record itself is still in EXCELLENT condition!!
History: This Swiss Club Edition pressing Single of The Rolling Stones was available exclusively and only to a very limited number of members of the Swiss EX LIBRIS record and book club in 1966. You´ve had to spend quite a high amount of money to become a member of EX LIBRIS.
All the MANY other Swiss record shops (and there were some really great ones amongst them) have sold mainly the German, French and British pressings of the Stones latest recordings. The British originals sold best.
Ex Libris wasn´t considered a very hip shop at all, and so only a small number of people went to ever shop at Ex Libris, but few of them would decide to go for any records by the Rolling Stones, and that´s why they ARE so incredibly rare!! Only about 500 copies of them have sold.
IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN PERFECT, UNPLAYED CONDITION!! UNFORTUNATELY I MUST RAISE SOME MONEY, SO HERE´S ONE UNIQUE CHANCE TO BID ON THIS MAJOR SWISS ROLLING STONES RARITY FROM MY COLLECTION!!
