ROLLING STONES The Promotional Album '69 (This is by far the most famous and legendary Rolling Stones official promotional album available to date! Compiled by London Records in 1969, housed in a stunning, unique picture sleeve, and distributed exclusively to influential rock radio programmers prior to the release of Let It Bleed, it's a funky sample of tracks from the band's back catalogue. Not concentrating on just the hits, it features more obscure album tracks,and includes an 'arguably alternate' take of Love In Vain, available from no other source.)

Only 400 copies of this mega-rarity were pressed -- 200 for the American market and 200 for the UK market. The UK issue had a UK Decca label LP disc (catalogue number RSM-1) issued in a US sleeve (with catalogue number RSD-1) whilst the American disc was issued on the blue London label with an RSD-1 catalogue number on both the sleeve and label.

Depending which sources you read, the version of Love In Vain is apparently an alternate take unavailable from any other source -- though this has often been disputed.

The picture on the sleeve was taken during the Let It Bleed recording sessions. It is a sepia toned shot of the band in the studio against a white background with the band name at the top and 'A Special Radio Promotion Album In Limited Edition Not For Sale' text.  ) ) ) )

Condition Record:   The record is visually VG  because it has several large surface scuffs, however, it plays quite well to almost excellent.

Condition Cover:     The flat panels of the cover's front and back are in good condition when looked at streight on.  There is a worn area where the paper has come off. It looks like a small brown area. See the guitar player on the floor and it is by his right boot.   The top edge is near perfect but the right corner has been bumped.  The edge along the bottom is split for about 2 and 1/2 inches starting at the bottom left corner which has also been bumped.  The left side spine edge is split for about 2 inches starting at the bottom left corner. The edge of the left side also shows dry cracking for about 2 inches at the middile. The top left corner, also shows wear. There is a small coffee stain on the back cover near the top right (see photos below).
