The Rolling Stones
Sticky Fingers
Probably the sexiest album sleeve ever produced apart from Hendrix’ Electric Ladyland. The pun on sticky fingers was considered outrageous and caused much outcry when released. The crotch photograph on front face was shocking in that era of production but caused a huge increase in the records sales world wide and is probably one of the Stones greatest selling discs. The media are still trying to find out whose crotch it was..still debatable to this day…. The entire album was permeated by images of sex and death, yet the tone of the work was neither self-indulgent nor maudlin. The group's playful fascination with sex was further demonstrated on the elaborately designed Andy Warhol sleeve which featured a waist-view shot of a figure clad in denim, with a real zip fastener which opened to display the lips and tongue motif that was shortly to become their corporate image.Very historic album release and very significant to the Rolling Stones’ image and group development.
This is a very scarce pressing of this monumental rock classic.Appears freshly pressed/unplayed !! What a rarity this one is…I am told that it very well could be THE first pressing of this rock giant release ! Previous owner bought on day of release in UK. What a real stunner this one is...

Sticky Fingers COC 59100 A4/B4
Never seen a better example.
Tongue insert MINT. Corners sharp and pointed. Immaculate!
Vinyl
Unmarked under ordinary light. NO scratches just one light surface and that is all. Very lightly played indeed, if at all!Stunning visual appearance with a sheen very similar to mint vinyl.Rolling Stones Records hand etched in run off grooves (but no made in Germany credits!) confirming its authenticity. Will not find better than this. Very rare in this condition. Most are found heavily marked with groove wear and surface damage. This vinyl is in remarkable condition.
Labels
MINT ! NO spiderlines observed even when examined from different angles.Yellow/red tongue label format with slightly different labels. Significant double dimple effect around central area with N V Promotone credits!!! Couple of differences here and in perfect condition under ordinary lighting.
Audio
Have just upgraded my record deck to a superb Project turntable and this system can detect the slightest of surface disturbances. On a high volume, this vinyl conveys absolutely beautiful tones, conveyed with a mellow wamth and yet with a razor sharp edge. NO pops. No hisses. Some surface noise between a few of the tracks but during the music, mostly clear channels . A phenomenal audio with little to fault .Lovely loud cut engineering and will not disappoint.
Album cover
The rarer and larger operational metal zipper in perfect working order. Looks unpulled…will not disturb. Scarce difference noted as not many sleeves with this magnificent metal counterpart, most being fitted with the smaller variety. This metal zip has two large holes on lower/upper parts with P A N inscription on front/reverse . Awesome find! Nr mint album sleeve, the best I have had the pleasure to view. Corners very near perfect with the slightest of indentations on reverse.Has printed in Germany on lower spinal edge, the sleeve most probably imported to meet the excessive demand on the UK market. A UK sleeve as far as I know has never been fitted with this larger zip. If anyone knows of one, please contact me as I have been told that there is not one in existence…Previous owner bought this in England and verified that it was hardly played. Taped all his music. Beautiful condition.
Absolutely stunning example of one of the most famous records ever to be produced.
