Description
This is a lovely playable UK 1st press copy of ‘Sticky Fingers’ by the ‘Stones (A3/B3 matrix).
This happens to be a particularly iconic iteration, being the very first UK edition label (early '71) without a ‘Promotone’ credit; as the company wasn’t founded in Amsterdam until nearly 6 months after this release!
The zip is also the blank version with 2 indented lines, and is apparently made with a superior quality metal to later editions – however be aware this copy is missing the original insert!

The sleeve has general wear but no obvious flaws and the disc has usage wear including several feel-able marks, but I noted only the odd pop over B2-4. There is general crackle throughout quieter passages but was perfectly acceptable to the ear – and would be simply resolved with a clean on a cleaner.
This is a sought after example of an original 1st pressing which you won’t mind playing over and over again, so grab a classic LP at a good starting price!

This is a collection being sold on behalf of a client, whom has been collecting some 50 years. It includes many 1stowner and 1st pressing items - the majority of which are EX condition records in EX/VG+ graded sleeves due to spine wear; having been stored on a shelf without plastic sleeving. I operate the online-sales arm of a UK record shop and therefore aim to ensure accuracy in grading – I visually grade unless I can feel a mark which warrants further play-testing.
Many of the discs themselves only have very minor marks, but do have groove buildup due to not having been out in years - while I have hand-cleaned with Isopropyl solution and a microfibre (and then tested where needed), some have resulting minor background crackle and really would sound fantastic with a further session on a professional cleaning machine!
Starting-prices have been chosen competitively given Discogs and Popsike, and items will be safely packaged for postage; with discs firstly decanted into new separate inners, that inner and the sleeve then being placed in a new plastic outer sleeve and then shipped using professional grade record-mailers.
