The Cover:
This is the rare original Andy Warhol design featuring the authentic "PAN" branded metal zipper. This specific zipper variant was part of the very first production run in 1971 before the design was famously removed from sale and modified because the metal pull was damaging the vinyl in storage.
Condition: The cover shows visible age, including corner wear and some staining/foxing on the white portions. There is a name ("Tom Halpin") written in the top left corner of the back cover.
Zipper: Please note the metal zipper is non-functional/stuck. It remains a key collectible feature for this "PAN" variant but does not slide.
Inserts: No inserts or original inner sleeve included. Selling as cover and vinyl only.
The Vinyl:
Condition: The record shows several light surface scratches and paper scuffs (see photos). These are hairline and do not appear deep, though expect some light background crackle in quieter moments. The yellow labels are clean with minimal spindle wear.
Updated Valuation
With a non-functional zipper and missing inserts, the value takes a slight dip, as "completionists" usually look for a working mechanism.
