Description
For sale is this immaculate vintage vinyl LP of THE ROLLING STONES - THROUGH THE PAST DARKLY (BIG HITS VOL. 2) on Decca Records 1969. This is an original 1969 U.K. Stereo pressing of this record: It features a Garrod & Lofthouse octagonal gatefold sleeve with Clarifoil lamination to the outside surfaces. It has the red/blue mono/stereo indicator window. It has the original octagonal blue (stereo) inner sleeve. The disc has smooth dark blue labels and silver text with unboxed Decca logo. The labels have "Speed 33-1/3 on the left over the rights organisations box. The Side 1 and 2 text is to the right of the spindle hole. The catalogue number is SKL 5019. The weight of the disc is 149g. The matrices in full are:
Side One: XZAL-9067.P-1W Side Two: XZAL-9068.P-2W
Condition*:
The octagonal gatefold sleeve is graded EX. The laminated front and back surfaces are exceptionally clean with almost no wear and close to near mint. The edges and corners have very light wear only. There is slightly more wear to the spine. The unlaminated inside surfaces of the gatefold are also very clean and with very minimal wear to the edges, otherwise nearly perfect. The blue/ white octagonal inner sleeve is also in EX condition. Overall a really superb example of this notoriously fragile sleeve.
The disc is graded a strong EX. The surfaces are lustrous and dark. There are few signs of much play. Under very harsh light there are only a few very light surface marks visible. The disc has been played through in full from start to finish and plays wonderfully.

I am just selling a small number of records. I have given an honest appraisal based on careful visual inspection and thorough play testing. I do try to describe all significant faults and where possible photograph them and I certainly won't intentionally hide anything. Please read the description carefully, look at the pictures and make your own mind up. The grading scale I have used goes from G to NM with VG+ as par. In other words: Good (G), Very Good (VG), Very Good+ (VG+), Excellent (EX) and Near Mint (NM). Anything better than that would be Mint and would be listed as new. Anything worse than Good I probably wouldn't be selling.
