This copy is the second UK mono issue of the first Stones LP.

This issue has side one matrix number stamped XARL 6271-1A & side two matrix stamped XARL 6272-3A confirming it plays the full 4:06 version of Tell Me

The label is the Third variant of the First unboxed label design estimated to have been used between late 1964 and mid 1965. The label lists the Reed credit for Honest I Do as well as listing I Need You Baby instead of Mona. With boxed Biem & NCB stacked to the mid - far left of centre hole and without recording first published 1964 text which has been replaced with (P)1964.

The sleeve is the flipback variant with MONO printed top right I Need You Baby listed instead of Mona plus all spelling mistakes corrected & MacNeill Press credit bottom right.

Condition :-

The sleeve shows the laminate on the front to be nice & tight with only a few faint crease marks evident. The colours remain rich & vivid.
The far right corner of the bottom flipback has come loose & split. The top flipback remains secure & all text is clearly legible especially along the spine. There is an old shop stock guarantee stamp in one of the back corners but this is unobtrusive.

Both sides of the label reveal very little wear indicating minimal play. There are no blemishes to the print either.

The vinyl is clean & sounds remarkable with no scratches of any kind. If it wasnt for the condition of the sleeve we would grade this copy a strong EX overall.
