* The earliest DECCA label ie the "unboxed DECCA", soon replaced with the word DECCA inside a silver box.
* MONO ie label TXL 103
* First matrix numbers stamped in the vinyl ARL-8126-1P and ARL-8127-P1
* Mother/stampers are not clear. I think they are 2GW, and 2GUM
* Beautiful labels
* Visually EX and play grade EX
Outer Sleeve
* Original first issue sleeve with the 3 Dimensional Hologram on the front cover. DECCA soon found this too expensive and changed to a printed sleeve within a few months
*"MONO TXL103" is PRINTED on the back of the cover, not stuck on as a label as in later issues
* Excellent EX+ condition, completely intact, no tears, no writing, no damage, being extra critical I can see three small creases in the laminate and if you wave the hologram around you can see some light rubbing of the surface
Inner Cover
* Called the red cloud inner sleeve
* Excellent condition, completely undamaged, no tears, no writing. As you can see in the photo, a little creasing, a very small seam split on the bottom edge and some rubbing of the top opening edge.
Visual and Play of the LP
This is difficult for me as I like to spend a long time describing all the little scuffs and flaws. But I can't find any !!
Side 1 - Graded NM- beautiful label, no markings on spindle hole, in angled light can just make out two light spindle rubs. No scratches and no scuffs to be seen anywhere on the vinyl. By trying lots of different lights I found that in strong sunlight you can just see a few faint rubbings from the inner sleeve. On play I heard just flaw-free music.
Side 2 - graded EX+++ beautiful label again as on side 1. One single light superficial mark of a few mm on track 3. No other visible scratches or scuffings on the vinyl. If you persevere eventually a few light rubbings can be found form the inner sleeve, only visible in strong angled sunlight. On play I heard nothing but flaw-free MONO
