Description
The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962. Members are Mick Jagger (lead vocals), Keith Richards (guitar), Charlie Watts (drums), and Ronnie Wood (guitar). The band are identified with the youthful and rebellious counter culture of the 1960's. They were instrumental in making blues a major part of rock and roll. The band is named after "Rollin' Stone", a Muddy Waters song. "Their Satanic Majesties Request" is their eighth American studio album, released in 1967. The album drew mixed reviews, partially due to the similarities between the album cover of The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Initial releases featured a three-dimentional picture of the band on the cover, due to high production costs, later editions were replaced with just a photograph. Looking closely on the original 3D cover design, as a response to a doll wearing a 'Welcome The Rolling Stones' sweater on the cover of Sgt. Pepper, one can see the faces of each of the four Beatles. The 3-D gatefold album cover is in excellent condition. The vinyl is in excellent condition. London Records, #NPS-2, STEREO, no barcode. Thank you for looking. (Grading Order: Mint, Near Mint, Excellent, Very Good+, Very Good, Good, etc...)
