The collectable Stones excursion into the psychedelic in glorious MONO complete with 3D sleeve. Excellent sleeve complete with original inner and, although the vinyl has been well played it still delivers an enjoyable listening experience.

Condition

Sleeve

The gatefold sleeve has faired well and is in overall excellent condition. The only things worth pointing out is that there is a small amount of residue from a sticker on the 3D picture and the front part of the sleeve is slightly bowed. I have attached photos that I hope illustrate this.

Original inner sleeve is in excellentt condition but does have some very small numbers written in biro in one corner (see photo)

Comments: An excellent example of this iconic sleeve.

Record:

The disc is not warped in any way.

Side one:
Visually: Very Good, the disc still maintains a nice sheen but there are small scuffs visible under bright light.
Audio: No loud clicks pops or distortion but my studio monitors revealed an underlying crackle that is audible during very quiet sections. I didn't find this obtrusive just an occasional reminder that I was listening to vinyl.  I have compared this to the SACD edition and can confirm that the vinyl has a lot more detail, less dynamic compression and the warmth that only comes with a fully analogue recording.

Visually the vinyl has clearly been played but still has a nice sheen.
Play testing: The record plays loudly and clearly with some audible background noise in quiet passages.

Summary. Collectable Stones classic housed in an excellent sleeve. Some audible background noise during very quiet sections (and there aren't too many of them!).

How I pack:

I use top quality cruciform (pizza box style) mailers along with sheets of highest quality card stiffeners. The disc will be removed from the sleeve and if the inner sleeve is non-generic, I will put the LP in a new generic sleeve to avoid damaging the original. Box sets will be packed in boxes and protected with bubble wrap. I have comprehensive a comprehensive range of packing materials at my disposal, so rest assured, your order should arrive undamaged.

A bit about me:

It was 1960: I was eight. My cousin joined the Air Force and gave me his collection of 45’s: a great selection including Elvis and Buddy Holly. Usurping the family Dansette, I became well and truly hooked. By 1964/5 I was also seeing some of my favourite artist live. At the age of 11 I joined by first band playing music on and off over the subsequent years that also gave me experience of working in recording studios. Music is in my blood.
