Their Satanic Majesties Request ist das sechste Studio-Album der Rolling Stones, erschienen im Dezember 1967. Während der Aufnahmesessions experimentierte die Band zunehmend mit einem psychedelischerem Sound im Studio, unter Verwendung von unkonventionellen Instrumenten, Klangeffekten, Streicher-Arrangements und afrikanische Rhythmen. Der Album-Titel ist ein Wortspiel auf die Zeile "Her Britannic Majesty requests and requires ...", welche in jedem britischen Reisepass steht.

Entgegen der sich hartnäckig haltenden Gerüchte über die angebliche Feindseligkeit zwischen Beatles und Stones, beweist dieses Album so ziemlich das Gegenteil (zusammen mit den Grüßen an die Stones, die auf dem Cover von Sgt. Pepper zu lesen sind) - John und Paul singen auf dem ersten Titel hier Hintergrundgesang! (Besonders Johns Stimme kann deutlich erkannt werden, insbesondere bei der Zeile "...where we all come from")

Dieses Album wurde noch in einigen Ländern in mono veröffentlicht, darunter auch Brasilien.

Dies ist die brasilianische Original-Pressung (dort erst Anfang 1969 veröffentlicht) auf dem blauen "Stern"-Label, welches Ende 1968 dort eingeführt wurde (und bis 1971 verwendet wurde).
Das Cover ist ein laminiertes Klappcover - nicht eines von diesen fragilen "Sandwich"-Covers!

Das laminierte Cover hat ein paar Falten und ist auf der Innenseite beschriftet, ansonsten noch schön.
Die LP hat ein paar Druckstellen auf A2 und etliche kleine Wischer, läuft aber OK durch mit etwas Knistern, etwas deutlicher an leisen Stellen.

Their Satanic Majesties Request is the sixth studio album by the Rolling Stones, released in December 1967. Recording sessions saw the band experimenting widely with a psychedelic sound in the studio, incorporating unconventional instruments, sound effects, string arrangements, and African rhythms. The album's title is a play on the "Her Britannic Majesty requests and requires ..." text that appears inside a British passport.

Despite the widespread rumours about rivalry between the Beatles and the Stones, this album (along with written greetings to the Stones on the sleeve of Sgt Pepper) proved quite the opposite - John and Paul joined in as background singers on the opening track here! (Expecially John's voice can be clearly recognized, particularly on the last "...where we all come from")

The album was still released in mono in some countries, including Brazil.

This is the first brazilian mono (issued there not before early 1969) on the blue "star"-label, which was introduced in Brazil in late 1968 (and lasted until 1971).
It comes in a laminated gatefold sleeve - NOT in one of those fragile "sandwich" covers!

Laminated sleeve has some creasing and writing on the inner fold, else it's still nice.
The LP has a few pressure marks on A2 and many small marks, but plays through OK with some crackle, more noticeable in silent parts.
