Rolling Stones Their Satanic Majesties Request TXS 4K/4K EX+/VG+
Decca Records, Stereo Repress 1970
Matrix/mother/stampers: ZAL-8126-T2-4K - 32 3NA HH / ZAL -8127-T2-4K – G2 SUA AA
Gatefold sleeve, not lenticular; rear has peephole to indicate: "Red-Mono TXL 103/ Blue-Stereo TXS 103.”
Boxed Decca, blue grey label.
Includes original red/white psychedelic inner sleeve.
Summary: The Stones sixth album, Their Satanic Majesties Request. 1970 stereo press. Viny is in lovely condition (EX+), nice grove definition. A couple of wispy scuff lines that’s it (use magnification on photos). Clean, clear audio. Non-3D (lenticular) gatefold sleeve. Has red/blue stereo hole on rear. Comes with original psychedelic inner sleeve. Light age-related wear on opening edge/corner, slightly worn spine. No splits, marks or graffiti. Nice copy.
Triva: If you look closely at the main part of the front sleeve you can (just) pick out images of Ringo Starr, John Lennon, Paul McCartney & George Harrison.
Sleeve: 1970 non 3D front gatefold sleeve. Rear has hole to indicate: "Red-Mono TXL 103/ Blue-Stereo TXS 103. No marks, splits or graffiti. Light age-related wear on corner and opening edge, partly worn spine. Better than it sounds given age, certainly hasn’t been abused (see photos).
Original red/white psychedelic inner sleeve (so often missing) – split on bottom edge. Will come in new polylined inner.
Labels: Classic Boxed Decca, blue grey label. Light spindle wear. Actual label remains clean, no sticker residue or graffiti. Graded VG+
Vinyl: Visually retains its original gloss, nice groove definition. Under bright light (and a magnifying glass) couple of small wispy lines (only) – nothing more. Please use magnification on photos to see - graded EX+
Audio. Plays through fine, clean audio, nothing that interferes with output. No distortion, no pips, pops jumps or sticks (played on a Project carbon - blue 2M Ortofon) – audio EX

The few records I sell are either the results of upgrades, duplicates or a bit of thinning every now and again. I strictly adhere to the Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide using one + or - for addition guidance:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
