THE ROLLING STONES - 'THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST'
This EXCELLENT 1st UK STEREO pressing of their psychedelic opus dates from this album's initial release in December 1967.
It is on the deep-groove, unboxed green & silver Decca label: TXS 103

Housed in an outer laminated 'Robert Stace' printed gatefold cover with a 3-D front panel.
Complete with its original red & white 'smoke' design lined inner-sleeve.

A clean & bright set with a small collection of faint spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Extremely clean & glossy playing surfaces where the only noticeable marks in strong daylight are one or two light non-feelable fingernail scuffs, but nothing I would call a scratch. Closer examination directly beneath my unforgiving, powerful halogen desk lamp reveals some harmless wispy paper-type hairlines consistent with inner-sleeve removal/storage and a sparkling rainbow shine. Both sides of this respectable copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: VERY GOOD +
A great sounding copy which has received infrequent careful play on good equipment. My play-check detected no groove/play wear distortion on any track or indeed any other significant deterioration to the sound quality. In fact, apart from a touch of light background in some of the quieter passages and an occasional light tick, there is little to fault overall.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A clean & strong example with some light storagewear but no major faults throughout. The front panel laminate is perfectly clean & glossy with no creasing or rubbing. There is a touch of toning towards the upper edge but no damage or wear to the edges themselves. There is some minor shelfwear rubbing wear to the corners but no bumps or splits to any.
The rear panel is in perfect condition with no ring-wear, rubbing or damage to the laminate.
The inside of the gatefold is flawless with no marks or wear to either panel.
The spine is fully intact at both ends, and all the wording is covered and complete.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
A superb clean & unworn example with just light storage bends at two corners but no writing, seam splits or tears.
