THE ROLLING STONES - 'THROUGH THE PAST DARKLY (Big Hits Vol.2)'
This immaculate copy their second 'Greatest Hits' compilation a UK 1st stereo pressing dating from initial September 1969 release.
It is on the unboxed blue & silver Decca label: SKL.5019
Matrix numbers: XZAL-9067.P-1W & XZAL-9068.P-2W
Stamper codes: 1/UM & 1/UC
The 'JT' purchase tax code is visible in both run-outs.
Disc weight: 147g
The disc is housed within an outer laminated, octagonal 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed gatefold cover complete with its original octagonal blue/stereo inner-sleeve.

A clean & unworn set with just two or three tiny spindle trails around each unworn centre hole and the faint 'ghost' of a sticker on label 1.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Immaculate, deep-gloss playing surface which are unmarked in strong daylight and reveal just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines and a sparkling rainbow shine upon close inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp. Both sides of this well looked-after disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This superb sounding copy has received just a few careful plays on top-quality equipment and consequently the sound on every track is clean, clear and totally unworn. In fact apart from a handful of light 'ticks' during the break on '2,000 Light Years', the grades audibly MINT.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A superb strong, clean and unworn example with a perfectly flat and unbent front leaf and sharp and unworn edges. The inside of the gatefold is perfect and the rear panel just as clean as the front. The only issue holding this cover back from a higher grade is that the laminate has 'bubbled' in some areas, which was a manufacturing issue and not one of wear.
The delicate spine hinge is fully intact, unsplit and unbent with all of the wording is clearly visible.
Inner-sleeve: NEAR MINT
Perfectly clean & flat with just a little wrinkling to two corners - otherwise it is 'as new'.
