I am clearing out some PROMO records from my collection, so please check out my other auctions. Here’s a VERY RARE Rolling Stones PROMO Record! It’s “Far Away Eyes”. This is Rolling Stones Records (RS) 19307 released in 1978 And what a GREAT STONES PROMO RECORD it is!! It has the 3:45 minute version in MONO on the white label side and the 3:45 minute version in STEREO on the blue label side. Goldmine states that this 3:45 minute version of "Far Away Eyes" is RARE! This Rolling Stones PROMO record was released more than 30 years ago!! As you may know, PROMO RECORDS were ONLY released to radio stations for DJ airplay. So they were produced in VERY SMALL QUANTITIES! Many were trashed after a period of time. Plus, most DJs wrote on the labels or placed stickers on them. The label states that this promo record is from the “Some Girls” Rolling Stones album. This Rolling Stones WL PROMO RECORD IS IN BEAUTIFUL NEAR MINT CONDITION!!! I’ve only had 2 of these in 25+ years of record collecting: This NM copy from my own collection and a previous NM copy several years ago that I found at a flea market and auctioned on Ebay. It went to a high bidder in Japan for $200+. You’ll be hard pressed to find this PROMO RECORD. In fact, you’ll be even harder pressed to find one in better condition than this one which is in BEAUTIFUL NEAR MINT CONDITION. So don’t pass it by!! Dare you wait for another NM copy to come up for auction? Oh yes, it also comes with the PICTURE SLEEVE that was issued for this record “Miss You” b/w “Far Away Eyes”. The sleeve is in VG+ CONDITION with light wear and a tiny tear at the top edge of the opening with no paper loss.
