MEGARARE Rolling Stones - beggars banquet U.K 1968 MONO red unboxed Decca.
The MONO version of this album blows away the STEREO pressing. Uncredited on the album is Eric Clapton [guitar solo on Sympathy for the Devil] and Ry Cooder.
This LP by the Rolling Stones is their classic 1968 album titled “beggars banquet“.
It is an original UK 1968 and very rare MONO pressing on the red unboxed Decca label in a laminated Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold cover.
The back cover has “1968 THE DECCA RECORD COMPANY LIMITED LONDON“ and “SLEEVE PRINTED BY GARRARD AND LOFTHOUSE INTERNATIONAL LIMITED” credits. AND there is no Rev Wilkins credit on back.
The catalogue number is LK4955. The matrix numbers machine stamped into the run out grooves are XARL 8476-4A / 8477-3A.
The disc is in VG to VG+ condition with just a few light totally superficial surface marks from storage in the stiff inner sleeve. There is just one superficial non sounding surface scratch on the LP. It is a nice looking disc with loads of shine and plays really well.
The labels are in excellent condition.
The cover is in near VG+ condition with just minor age wear but nothing remotely serious. It has no splits and no tears and no writing on it.
