Description
Original 1968 mono copy of Beggars Banquet. Decca red label unboxed LK 4955.Dead wax Stampers XARL 8476-4A - XARL 8477-3A. This is another prized possession in my record collection.
This is a most sought after stones albums, due to the limited number that were released in mono, and as such can command prices well over £200.00 GBP in mint condition.
This copy is in superb order and i would grade very good to mint, [ i kid you not ] !!! useing rare record collector gradeing system. The music is clear crisp and punchy. Label is clean and does not have signs of excessive spindle marks, as it has not been played much, i should know as one my ex girlfriends bought it new and i kept it when we split. i have had it for 40 years and it has hardly been played in this time.
The sleeve is in very good order, there is some light creasing at gatefold points. Some light yellowing of back and front of sleeve but this is hardly noticeable as the original sleeve colour was cream. Rear panel of sleeve has the ex girlfriends name written on it at top, this has faded over the years but is still legible. Spine is in good order with all writing clearly legible . Some storage scuffs/nibbles to corners,[ please see photos for a visual appraisal of the disc and sleeve }. The sleeve is a clarfoil manufactured by Garrod and lofthouse.
Good luck with your bids, but be advised i am not giving this rare Stones item away at a silly price. If it does not meet its reserve highest bidder may negotiate. Post and packing may be free to anywhere in the world depending on winning bid.
