Description

Ronnie James Dio - Dio at Dominos vinyl album featuring Ronnie Dio and the Prophets. This album has been in my collection since the 1960's. Original cover, sleeve, and record. The vinyl is in pristine condition with no scratches, pops or imperfections. (I'm transferring all my vinyl to digital so as I progress, I am selling off my records.) There is a marking on the cardboard cover is in the top right and it was made with a pen. 
This is a huge opportunity for DIO collectors, as Ronnie Dio and the Prophets was one of Ronnie Dio's first bands. This recording was made locally in the Cortland NY area and was a very limited release. Ronnie's voice is pristine here as he was most likely 22 years old. I grew up in Cortland and went to the same high school as Ronnie, although I was 9 years younger. The Cortland community would hold 'block dances' once a month in the 1960's, featuring free concerts by local bands. Ronnie Dio and the Prophets were hugely popular and all the local kids (and some parents) would all come out to hear this amazing band. A few years later when the Beatles released Abbey Road, Ronnie's band learned the entire album and played it 'live' just a few weeks after its release! 
Ronnie was a star, even then. He had a beautiful voice and a charisma that was magnetic. Check him out on this treasure!
