This sprawling set comprises the entire radio broadcast of Ronnie Lane's 1983 benefit concert for Action into Research for Multiple Sclerosis (A.R.M.S.). Rather than being broken into individual performances, the concert largely features an all-star band that, in addition to Lane, features Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Steve Winwood, Chris Stainton, Charlie Watts, Kenney Jones, Bill Wyman, Ray Cooper, Andy Fairweather Low, Fernando Sanders, Tony Hymas, and Simon Phillips. This particular release was prepared by Westwood One Radio for broadcast by their national affiliates; in addition to a typed sheet listing tracks and personnel, the set also comes with a two-page timing sheet, letting local DJs know the exact timecode for each song, as well as the included ads (for Levis, Budweiser, and others). A wonderful artifact of rock!
