Roots of the bluesOriginal US LP released in 1960 on the Red & Purple Atlantic Records Label. Cat: 1348. This album is in MONO.
Over the next several months we have the pleasure of listing a spectacular vinyl collection of over 6000 LP's. This collection consisting of mostly Jazz but also Blues, Folk ,Rock, Soundtracks and Classical was kept in amazing condition. Most of the records were played once, transferred to tape for listening and then stored away in cliplock sealed bags in specially made cupboards. The overall condition of this collection is sublime to say the least and whatever items I list as Near Mint you can be assured that it was probaly only ever played once!! Over the last few weeks you may have noticed some of the lovely jazz & rock titles I have listed, these are just the tip of the iceberg here. I hope you enjoy seeing these listings as much as I have in offering them.

Tracks: Lonnie & Ed Young - Jim and John/ Vera Hall - The wild ox moan/ Fred McDowell - Been drinkin' water out of a hollow log/ Miles Pratcher & Bob Pratcher - All night long/ Fred McDowell - Shake 'em on down/ Forest City Joe - Levee camp reminiscence/ Lonnie & Ed Young - Chevrolet/ Lonnie, Ed & Lonnie Young Jr. - Oree/ Johnny Lee Moore - Levee camp holler/ Johnny Lee Moore & 12 Mississippi Penitentiary convicts - Eighteen hammers/ Forest City Joe - Train time/ Fred McDowell - Freight train blues/ Forest City Joe, Sonny Boy Rogers & Thomas Morgan - Drink on little girl.There are a few light spindle spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks that cause a some light crackles throughout. Record is in Excellent condition. There is a water mark on back bottom of cover which has cause some light surface tears as well. Gloss cover otherwise is fully intact with no seam splits or tears. Cover is in VG+ condition.
Payment is accepted by Paypal. Within Australia we also accept Direct deposit transfer and Australia Post Money Orders.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
