J.S. Bach Partitas Nos 3 & 6 - His Master's Voice ALP 1692 - Rosalyn Tureck
Cover is Very Good, some wear commensurate with age, but nice and flat, no writing. A little foxing to the back
The vinyl looks in pretty nice condition, lots of shine on it, however under strong light there are some light marks and hairlines that produce some crackling, more so on side 2
Also, for some reason, only on side 1 there are several bouts of distortion on the high notes, particularly at the start of the side. Possibly this is my record player (Rega 3), or possibly a clean will help, but no guarantees
So, I can only rate the record as Good at best. Side 2 is more listenable, despite the light background noise, with the distortion hindering enjoyment for parts of side 1. Have priced accordingly, based on the above and on the proviso that there are no returns for this item.
This record can go for silly money, so here's a chance to get it at a more reasonable price, that may be as filler until a better copy comes along...or your record player doesn't play it with any distortion on side 1 :-) but much of side 1 has no distortion and so is still listenable, quite enjoyable music of course
