One of the UK’s rarest LP's. This is a stunning copy of the far far rarer Stereo issue. SO rare in fact that only a handful have every surfaced and it’s not even listed on Discogs as existing in Stereo but this is absolutely a UK original issue, and a great one at that. You may never get another chance to find this LP again in this condition and a Stereo issue as well.

The only copy on discogs is priced at £1275 and that’s the Mono one. No Stereo copies have ever been sold on Discogs (in fact it’s not even listed as being issued in Stereo) and I can only find reference to six having been sold previously and some of these may be the same copy being sold more than once. It was apparently never delivered to shops and only available in a very very limited run by special order only. Ultimately, whichever way you view it, this is one of the rarest UK LP’s so don’t miss the chance to get it as you may never get another chance.

VINYL: EX+ (Nearly MINT playback!!).  The LP is in great condition with full gloss and obviously has hardly been played, looks Excellent at least. There are some very very fine hairline marks when you look in direct light and some static/dust but otherwise it’s a great looking copy and sounds amazing, on playback it sounds fantastic (almost MINT playback) with only the odd bit of very light crackle and a pop or two (NOTE when listening to the recording on Tess’s Torch Song you can hear a pop and then two louder sounding pops/ticks, I checked this and found a hair which was removed and then I test played again the louder pops/ticks were not there anymore), amazing clarity, in fact most new LP’s I’ve bought have more surface noise so this is really incredible for a record nearly 60 years old (please listen to both sides fully using links below).

Comes complete with original HMV advertising inner which is in nice condition with some creasing but I’ll send the LP in a new anti-static sleeve when shipping along with the original inner. You can listen to both sides taken directly from this LP using the links below (copy and paste into browser if the links don’t work). This is how the LP sounds and absolutely NO filters etc have been used to change the audio in any way at all. It plays fantastically, listen to both sides.

COVER:- EX+   Original 'Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents Pending' sleeve with large 'Stereo' on front and catalogue number CSD 1508 on rear. As can be seen from the photos the cover is also in fantastic clean condition. Being very critical there is the slightest signs of ring wear, a small corner bump to the top right, some very very light ageing to the rear, a small mark above the ‘S’ of Everything’s at the top left of the rear sleeve and some light 'bumps' to the opening edge but this is still nice and sharp. The spine is completely intact and fully readable. Please look at the pictures clearly and use the zoom function.

Great opportunity to get a lovely copy of this ultra-rare LP.

GRADINGS

I use the UK record collector guide when considering gradings using a + or - when necessary if a record/cover appears to fall between gradings as detailed below, please see below for details. They are based on my interpretation and are of course subjective. If I describe a quick test play it means I have checked in various parts to make sure there is not groove wear/significant distortion caused by poor equipment etc and/or checked scratches, I have not counted crackles.

I am very careful with my descriptions and in the majority of cases carefully clean and check each item and do not send out dirty records. But a reminder, if a record is graded at a lower grade it won?t get better in the post so please read the description carefully. Thanks

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

(All records will have ultra-fine lines under direct light, even brand new ones. A record described as Mint would look like you just picked it up off the record shop shelf so may have very very light handling marks only)

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.

Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
