Festival File Volume 10: SmileOriginal OZ Only LP released in 1988 on Festival Records. Cat: L19010.
Wyllie came to prominence in 1967 as the exuberant comp re for the iconic and fondly remembered pop show Uptight, a weekly three-hour music series screened on ATV Channel O in Melbourne. Alongside The Go!! Show - and long before the ABC's Countdown set a new benchmark during the 1970s - Uptight was the show to watch, featuring many of Australia's greatest stars of the 1960s pop scene. Wyllie was also at the forefront as a recording artist, making an indelible impact in October 1969 when he took 'The Star' all the way to #1 around the country. Johnny Young was a hot song writer at the time, with Russell Morris having taken his song 'The Real Thing' to #1 the previous May. 'The Star' was a dramatic ballad elevated by a soaring string arrangement from John Farrar (who went on to work with Olivia Newton-John, Hank Marvin and Cliff Richard).

There are a few very light spindle marks on labels. Record is in Near Mint condition. Cover has a few tiny marks and the start of a small seam split on top centre edge and is in VG+ condition.condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.

Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
