Here is a chance to bid for a rare and sought after recording of Rossini's overtures on the highly prized Decca label with wide silver band featuring the famous 'ffss' full frequency stereophonic sound declaration. Cat. No: SXL 2266 This is a stereo recording featuring Pierino Gamba conducting the London Symphony Orchestra. The recordings comprise the following pieces:- The Thieving Magpie, The Silken Ladder, The Barber Of Seville, Semiramide and William Tell. A must have for any serious collector of classical works on vinyl. The record and sleeve are in extremely good condition and the LP plays beautifully without any clicks, bumps or jumps to distract the listener from this sublime recording. Happy bidding.
