Description

Roy Brown & Wynonie Harris - Battle Of The Blues LP - King 607-No Crown Mono DG.


This is a rare gem. There’s no release date on the cover or LP, but I believe it to be in the late ‘40’s or early ‘50’s. Opening cuts on both sides exhibit more surface noise than the remainder of the cuts. Some visible surface scuffs both sides. Side one plays through cleanly. Side two has a skip in cut three. This may may be improved by ultrasonic or spin cleaning. This is a heavy gram weight LP.


The cover is in great condition for its age, with high gloss sheen, no stains and minimal ring wear. There is minor edge wear and small splits top and bottom (see photos).
