This is the legendary recording. Released by Roy himself in a burlap bag.This has been rereleased a few times but this is the original issue.
This is Roy Buchanan’s first released recording. Here’s some of the story from Phil Carson’s book called American Axe.
Someone rigged up a portable, monaural reel-to-reel machine and crudely captured a few sets one week in October.
The tapes made good listening perhaps but in no way were they of high enough fidelity to suit a legitimate record company.
It’s not clear whether the tapes were actually offered to Polydor, to which Roy still had a contractual obligation to produce a record, but in the end the guitarist blithely decided to go it alone.
He picked half a dozen songs, about 35 minutes worth, and proceeded to have a local record pressing plant cook up a few thousand copies.
…his choice for the name of the record label – B.I.O.Y.A….stood for Blow It Out Your Ass.
…the records were placed inside burlap bags garnered from a jeans promotion, stenciled Buch and the Snakestretchers and sold for a few bucks a piece.

Condition:
LP has some surface noise most noticeable on the quiet section on side one but is though the whole LP. This was a cheap pressing. .
Jacket: There is a wear at the fold at the top - I have a photo of this. .
