VINYL = VG Record surfaces may show some signs of wear, and light marks, but they don't unduly affect the listening experience and are of a cosmetic nature only. I have cleaned and play-tested both sides of the record and it plays really well and although it crackles here and there, there are no skips or jumps.

"....I personally rate this LP as excellent record, and as good anything else Roy issued. Indeed if pushed I would choose it as my favourite....."
This album tends to get overshadowed by Roy's later albums on Liberty and Harvest, and as such doesn't receive the credit it deserves. This LP is a progression from "Sophisticated Beggar", but much gentler and folkier than the albums that followed, such as "Folkjokeopus", "Flat Baroque", "Beserk," "Stormcock" and "Lifemask", which would cement his lasting reputation as one of the best and most vital talents of his generation. Nevertheless, this remains a crucial part of the Roy canon and is further evidence of a special talent developing his unique sound.
