Description
Roy Harper. Stormcock. Original Harvest Label (Pre EMI logo) Recorded July - Dec 1970.
Featuring ' S Flavius Mercurius' who I'm told is Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin.
We have finally decided to clear out our old albums as we have no way of listening to them anymore they have been stored unopened or used for about 30 years....! The last record we remember buying was Dire Straits Making Movies album which I will be listing eventually.
We have very differing tastes in music so there is a huge range from Michael Chapman, Neil Diamond, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, The Who, Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood, Joan Armatrading..... all sorts really. Over the next few weeks I'll be listing most of them and hoping that they will again bring some pleasure to somebody.
I know nothing about the 'correct way' of describing their condition and can only tell it as I see it. Please bear in mind that these records were not bought as collectors items but to be used and enjoyed, some more so than others! Neither of us can remember any of them being jumpy or scratched, but 30 years is a long time and as I said I've no way of checking how they play now.
I think this is quite an early edition as it is on the Harvest label with no EMI logo . The Black outer sleeve does show wear particularly on the corners. The inner sleeve is the Harvest/Emi one with pictures & just looks old. The record looks fine, unmarked that I can see.
